Catching Up - Pics from December

OK, OK, I went a little bit overboard with pictures from December. There were just so many cute ones, I couldn't choose. It took forever to upload them all! Anyway - ENJOY!!

Here is Emma watching her very first Christmas special on TV - Shrek the Halls. She really doesn't ever watch TV, so I wasn't sure how she would do, but she was so cute! She said "kitty" and "baby" when they were on and really seemed to be watching the show for the - at least for the first 12 minutes. Then that was it - the popcorn was spilled, she was up and running around. It was adorable while it lasted!

Emma is very hesitant when whe is presented with new textures, so for one of her OT sessions, she played in rice. She wasn't too interested in digging for the plastic bugs that were in it, but she sure went for the piece of chocolate we buried!

Emma loved to rock and look at the tree while I sang "Oh, Christmas Tree."

One of my favorite pictures!

Emma has been into putting things into different containers and bags. Her laundry was sitting in the hall and she got a bag and started filling it - it looked like she was running away from home! I'm sure her grandma and pap would take her in!

When we headed to PA to celebrate Christmas with Rodney's family, we hit the mall for a train ride and a visit with Santa. Emma wasn't too sure what to think of her first ride. I'm sure next year we won't be able to get her off of it.

I have to say, Santa had NO personality! Emma was not too happy with him!

Santa showed up early Christams Eve for a personal visit for Emma's first Christmas with us!

Emma wouldn't get too close to Santa. We tried to get her to stand beside him to get a good picture, but she outsmarted us. She got this close to him, and then turned and ran!

Once Santa left, we had to get busy making cookies so he would have a snack when he brought her toys later on. Emma couldn't wait for them to cook before she took a bite.

Mmmmmmmmm...icing!

It was great watching Emma frost the cookies! Once I showed her how to spread the icing, she took off - spread some on the cookie, lick the spoon, spread, lick, spread, lick.....

When she was finished, there wasn't one part of her body that didn't have icing on it!

Daddy reading the PC version of 'Twas the Night Before Christmas - no stump of a pipe held tight in his teeth and no chubby and plump, a right jolly old elf.

Santa came!!

Emma's first look Christmas morning. It was a bright, sunshiney day!

All of those presents and she makes a beeline for her stocking.

Emma jumped right in and started playing with her kitchen. It is amazing how much she picked up watching me in the kitchen.

Emma's gift for Daddy - a lighted Steeler's sign.

Emma's gift for Mommy - Mamma Mia!!!

We headed to PA for Christmas with my family after we opened our presents.

Emma watching her cousin Alex opening his preents.

The day after Christmas, a whole group of us went snow tubing at Seven Springs. We can't wait until Emma is old enough to go!
Alex, Kelly, and Joel
Hard to see, but it is Mike, Terri, and me.
And the three of us after we hit the wall you're not supposed to hit!

David, Terri, and Mike

The whole gang that went tubing: Jared, Terri, Joel, Alex, Kelly, David, Chris, Rodney, Mike. We had a blast!

Here is Jeremiah opening a present. We didn't see him Christmas day because he was working.

I finally got to introduce Emma to ourfriends Tina and Cubby. They live in New York and we don't get to see each other very much anymore.

Getting ready to watch the Steelers!!

Uncle David and Uncle Mike playing with Emma and Grandma's Santa.

Uncle David dancing along with Emma and Santa. Ummm, David....don't quit your day job!

We were able to visit college friends of mine, Kim and Rick, and their kids Jake and Maggie while we were in PA for Christmas.

As usual, Emma is the center of attention!

Kim and Emma playing with her new barnyard animals.

Maggie stretching a bracelet out to make a headband for Emma, while Emma is 'talking' on the "phone" - one of Emma's favorite things!
