Our Itinerary for China

Here is what we will be doing over the next few weeks, just in case you need to get in touch with us (just kidding – leave a message, we’ll get back to you when we can)
May 2 – Fly to Beijing via Newark
May 3 – Arrive in Beijing after about 20 hours of travel
May 4 – Tour Beijing – Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Lunch with a local family, Hutong tour
May 5 – Tour Beijing – Great Wall, Summer Palace, Acrobat show
May 6 – Fly to Guangzhou
May 7 – paperwork in the moring, catch a bus at 2:30 to the Civil Affairs office and finally – the moment we have been waiting for – Emma Lee will be placed in our arms at 3:00! :-)
May 8 – shop for Emma Lee in the morning
May 9 – optional tour of Guangzhou Zoo
May 10 – optional tour of Six Banyan Temple
May 11 – optional tour of Botanic Garden
May 12 – Emma Lee has a medical checkup
May 13 – hopefully we will get to visit Emma Lee’s orphanage (Yang Dong)
May 14 – the famous ‘red couch’ photos at the White Swan, get our paperwork checked for the consulate
May 15 – Consulate appointment
May 16 – Swearing In ceremony at the Consulate, wait for Emma Lee’s Visa, take a train to Hong Kong
May 17 – Fly to Pittsburgh via Newark
May 20 – Finally fly HOME!!!
